Antique Fair - Antiques and more in Napa, CA

Newsletter

Greetings to All!

Some time has passed since there has been a newsletter from the Antique Fair and so much has happened! There are new many new changes I'd like to talk about.

In June 2006, Doug and Darci Hill of Hill Family Estate bought the Antique Fair from George and Alice Rothwell, who after many years in the antique business decided to retire. They wanted someone who would love their store and carry on the passionate tradition of fine antiques. They were fortunate to find Doug and Darci Hill who live in Yountville, knew the store and wanted a place where they could open a tasting room for their wonderful wines. So with this came the exciting merger of fine wines and antiques.

The bed that was an icon in our front window was replaced with a wine tasting bar. The Antique Fair has retained its charm, style and wonderful atmosphere enhanced by enjoying a glass of wine while perusing the antiques.

We are continuing to buy wonderful French furniture from Paris and Lyon as we have done for the past 20 years. Our LXV and LXVI style of armoires, beds, bookcases and nightstands are worth stopping by to examine. Check out our fantastic German cut crystal champagne flutes with an even more fantastic story of their antiquity. We also have a new line of terra cotta rabbits and pigs which are utterly charming!

No changes have been made regarding our wonderful staff. Kathy Ray has been with us for over nine years and is a wonderful asset to the company. I, Eli Qvist, have been with the Antique Fair since 1982. We both look forward to meeting you and seeing our special clients again soon.
